About the Role:
As an IBM BPM Architect, you will be at the forefront of designing, managing, and optimizing the IBM BPM, FileNet, and BAW Case Manager platforms. This role requires deep technical expertise and hands-on experience to lead platform administration, upgrades, and troubleshooting across complex infrastructures, including mainframe and Linux environments. You will ensure that the architecture is robust, scalable, and aligned with organizational goals while driving continuous improvement and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Architectural Leadership:
• Lead the design and implementation of IBM BPM, FileNet, and BAW Case Manager infrastructure, ensuring alignment with business requirements and technical standards.
• Oversee platform architecture and provide strategic direction for system enhancements, migrations, and integrations.
• Platform Management & Administration:
• Manage and administer IBM BPM, FileNet, and BAW platforms, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability.
• Independently handle IBM BPM platform and infrastructure, ensuring stability and seamless operation.
• Infrastructure Operations:
• Administer Linux servers (RHEL 8/9) and virtual machines, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Lead seamless upgrades and migrations of FileNet, IBM BPM, and BAW environments, minimizing downtime and ensuring data integrity.
• Troubleshooting & Problem Resolution:
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues within IBM BPM, FileNet, and BAW environments, implementing resilient solutions to prevent recurrence.
• Address root causes of technical issues in BAW environments, ensuring long-term stability.
• Cloud & Containerization:
• Utilize OpenShift for managing containerized applications and enhancing platform scalability.
• Leverage AWS services as needed to augment platform capabilities and disaster recovery planning.
• Mainframe & Database Management:
• Apply mainframe knowledge to integrate and manage BPM workflows in legacy environments.
• Administer and manage SQL Server databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and performance.
• Service Management:
• Manage incidents, changes, and problems using ServiceNow, ensuring adherence to ITIL best practices and minimizing service disruptions.
• Coordinate with vendors for third-party solutions and services, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
• Security & Compliance:
• Identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities within the infrastructure, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
• Implement security best practices across all platforms to protect data and systems.
• Collaboration & Communication:
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, security, and operations, to deliver integrated solutions.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, fostering understanding and alignment.
Key Requirements:
• Experience:
• 12-15 years of hands-on experience with IBM BPM, FileNet, BAW Case Manager, and Workflow systems.
• Extensive experience in managing, administering, and troubleshooting IBM BPM platforms and associated infrastructure.
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux servers (RHEL 8/9) and virtual machines in a production environment.
• Proven track record of seamless upgrades and migrations within IBM BPM, FileNet, and BAW environments.
• Technical Skills:
• BPMN: Expertise in IBM BPM.
• Languages: Proficiency in JavaScript, CSS, Java (versions 8, 11, or 17), and SQL.
• Database: Experience with MS SQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.
• Java Frameworks: Expertise in Spring Boot.
• ORM Frameworks: Strong knowledge of Hibernate.
• Version Control: Proficient with Git.
• Cloud: Experience with any cloud platform, preferably PaaS.
• DevOps: Experience with Azure DevOps or AWS.
• Containerization: Hands-on experience with Docker.
• Messaging Queue: Familiarity with RabbitMQ, IBM MQ, or Kafka.
• Operating Systems: Experience with both Windows and Linux.
• Monitoring & Alerting: Knowledge of ELK, Grafana, and Prometheus.
• Architecture: Strong understanding of Microservices architecture.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects and drive initiatives independently.
• Certifications (Preferred):
• Certifications in IBM BPM, FileNet, or related technologies.
• Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or equivalent certification.
