The Role

Wpromote is building out our Performance Creative team and we are looking for an amazing Digital Art Director with a background in graphic design who is driven by innovation, data, creativity, and design. You'll conceptualize digital ads in partnership with Performance Creative Leads and delegate the vision to a team of editors and graphic/motion designers. You will also assist with the pitch process and communicate ideas to clients. This small and mighty team leverages data to help craft the creative story to the right audience at the right time. The anticipated annual salary for this role will range from $90,000 - $120,000, based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, years and depth of experience, education and certifications, competitive benchmarks, scope of responsibility, market dynamics, geographic location, and the respective state’s salary threshold for exempt employees. At Wpromote, pay ranges are subject to change and are based on specific market medians for similar jobs according to third-party salary benchmark surveys. Individual pay within that range can vary due to skills, experience, and available budget.  The total compensation package for this role will include benefits (listed above).

*This position may be performed remotely in most states within the US, with some exclusions

You Will Be
  • Guiding strategic initiatives, fostering innovation, and providing support to a motivated and skilled team to further enhance their proficiency in creative marketing fundamentals and leadership capabilities.
  • Developing, informing, and deploying operational processes and cross-functional projects to improve creative production across the Performance Creative team
  • Leading creative conversations on client calls as needed, able to attend virtual or in-person meetings independently
  • Providing support on how to best utilize in-house vs. freelance vs. 3P tech based on client cost of creative and maintaining a minimum gross margin 
  • Leading larger initiatives to produce purposeful creative evolution for clients (larger bespoke initiatives and full-funnel campaigns) , ensuring creative assets are focused on performance while driving brand and market-share growth.  
  • Developing creative briefs and managing projects/deliverables across the team
  • Approving work and giving feedback to a team of designers to produce excellent visual work
  • Supporting the Performance Creative team by providing visual inspiration for concepts, storyboards for video creative, brand guideline reference sheets built in Figma for efficient QA, and others as needed based on bandwidth
  • Working with the Performance Creative Leads to create concepts for digital ads and implementing channel-specific playbooks and methods across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Amazon, Content Marketing, Search,and others.
  • Leading brainstorming sessions with Performance Creative Leads for large campaigns, transforming thoughts and half-ideas into fun, innovative, and clever executions 
  • Building out visual ideas via storyboards, mocks, sketches, etc, and creating mood boards that distill or expand on the visual tone of a brand
  • Overseeing a broad range of digital projects for clients across a large variety of product and service categories, including both B2C and B2B 
  • Championing the look and feel of your assigned clients (style guides are your bible)
  • Generating templates and rebuilt assets for your assigned clients for other editors and motion designers to use in their work 
  • Conducting competitor analysis on all Wpromote Performance Creative clients
  • Collaborating with the Performance Creative Leads to apply the latest paid media best practices to every creative opportunity

  • You Must Have
  • 5+ years experience at a digital advertising agency or equivalent in-house marketing team (Performance Marketing experience preferred)
  • An exceptional digital portfolio showcasing innovative concepts and creative solutions (please include a link or attachment with your application)
  • Experience in making performance-focused ads for Facebook/ Instagram, TikTok, YouTubeand other paid media channels 
  • Expert technical skills in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite 
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and incorporating creative direction and feedback from both internal teams and clients
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with the ability to stay organized and juggle competing priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
  • Demonstrates expert graphic design fundamentals including advanced typography, hierarchy, layout, and prototyping skills, conceptual abilities, and understanding of user-centric design
  • Experience in conceptualizing and storyboarding motion graphics, with the ability to effectively communicate these concepts to a design team
  • Comfortability with a modular systemic approach to creativity
  • Highly skilled in leading and working with a team of creative talent
  • The ability to pre-build and create templated graphic packages for video editors
  • A positive, open mind that is focused on having a stellar creative vision with a strong understanding of Performance Creative business objectives
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in design or equivalent level of education and experience
  • Knowledge of AI design tools and how they can be harnessed to increase production efficiencies without sacrificing quality is a plus
