About the Job
Looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity as a System Architect for cellular dataplane ? United Micro is seeking talented individuals to join our team in Munich, Germany, where you will be working on the cutting-edge technology. Remote work is possible.
Your Responsibilities
As a System Architect for cellular dataplane you will:
  • Analyse external specifications and derive modem dataplane requirements 
  • Define cellular modem hardware and software architecture for dataplane
  • Deliver documentation for hardware and software design and verification 
  • Model packet processing chain and estimate performance 
  • Collaborate closely with algorithm, firmware, hardware and software teams
  • Provide technical guidance to development teams 
  • Agree on requirements with customers and external stakeholders 
  • Support verification and certification activities 
Education and Experience
  • Master’s degree in Communication Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Computer science or related engineering 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in cellular modem development or system engineering 
  • Profound understanding of 5G and 4G standardization in 3GPP with focus on layer 2 standards
  • Background on cellular modem architecture from end-to-end 
  • Understanding of datapath realization and packet processing in hardware and software 
  • Familiar with simulation environments 
  • Experienced team player with good communication and leadership skills 
  • Excellent English skills
