The Financial Planning Manager provides support at the professional level for advisors in fulfilling financial plan engagements, interacting with clients, tax personnel, attorneys, insurance and investment advisors and giving investment advice.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Run financial planning process and financial plans for distribution.
  • Organize and run financial planning meetings. Present financial plans, tax maps, and other planning reports.
  • Performs detailed review of financial plans and strategic financial scenarios, including the spreadsheets, financial statements and cash flow projections, graphs and other analytical documents, and finalizes recommendation letters.
  • Meets with clients to determine needs of client and what planning scenarios may be performed to meet each client’s needs.
  • Performs relationship manager duties for assigned asset management clients, including detailed review of all staff work, portfolio rebalancing, trades placed, IRA. distributions needed; meets personally with clients and maintains the client relationship, in all material respects. Includes active participation in REDW Stanley Investment Committee.
  • Responsible for due care and proper client maintenance, and proper supervision and training of staff.
  • Responsible for, when requested by department leadership, participation in administrative functions at the departmental level including development or refinement of departmental processes, assists with creation of newsletters, marketing materials and proposals.
  • Maintenance of assigned client billing list, including all administrative duties for assigned clients, including billing, accounts receivable, and firm fee collection.
  • Establish new and develop existing client relationships with excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Work with other team members to deliver exceptional client service.
  • Maintain basic knowledge of significant software applications (Money Guide Pro, Holistiplan, Orion, Redtail, and Microsoft Office).
  • Develop new processes and procedures when necessary to meet expected and required client service levels and client requests.
  • Stay current with changes in regulatory rules and regulations and industry practices.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client and department information and issues at all times.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Proficiencies in financial planning software, including, Money Guide Pro, Holistiplan, and extensive use of Microsoft Office, familiarity various internet research/resource sites.
  • Knowledge of federal and state income tax laws in all areas of taxation.
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills and the strong ability to multi-task.
  • Experience in acquiring and servicing wealth management clients.
  • Positive, self-starter attitude and desire to exceed expectations at every opportunity.
  • Strong attention to detail, highly organized and focused on work quality.
  • Strong aptitude to learn, implement and use new software.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in financial planning, economics, or related field.
  • 5 years professional experience in financial planning.
  • CFP certification.
  • CPA or EA (preferred).
  • Securities experience and/or 65 or 66 license (preferred).

The potential annualized pay range for this position is $70,000 - $110,000. We make compensation offers within the range based on a range of individual factors, including but not limited to location, skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, business needs, and applicable employment laws.
