Ceterus is an all-virtual technology-enabled services company with a mission to empower small businesses and their CPAs through “Done-for-you-accounting”.  We automate accounting all the way from collection of transactions through the coding, review, and reporting processes so that small business entrepreneurs can focus on their passions while we focus on keeping the books and making sure taxes are prepared for filing.


Position Overview:


Ceterus is looking for driven, career-oriented individuals to leverage our proven approach and tools to drive outbound sales opportunities.  This is an excellent opportunity to join our rapidly growing sales team.  The Sales Development Representative role offers development of communications skills, interaction with small business owners, and the opportunity to advance in a growing technology company.  The Sales Development Representative is responsible for prospecting for new customers of Ceterus “Done for You Accounting”, our web-based, technology-enabled service that makes it easier than ever for small business owners to rest easy knowing their books and taxes are in good hands and they can focus on managing their businesses.  


Responsibilities:


  • Use the Ceterus prospecting framework to lead initial outreach to prospects

  • Identify the needs and challenges of prospective customers

  • Determine if the prospects needs and challenges can be addressed by Ceterus

  • Determine the prospect’s interest in Ceterus accounting services

  • Schedule discovery meetings for account executives (AEs) and prospects

  • Achieve X activities per week resulting in Y meetings per month


Required qualifications:


  • Proven track record in reaching or exceeding monthly activity objectives

  • Basic understanding of accounting processes

  • Knowledge of business processes

  • Interest in software as a service, accounting, and small business

  • At least one year of professional experience

  • College degree

Compensation:


This position carries a competitive base salary and commissions.  In addition, Ceterus provides an excellent and comprehensive benefits package for our employees including unlimited PTO and a 100% virtual office environment.
