How you will create an impact
- Determining the scope and extent of available coverage. Re-evaluating coverage as warranted.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication with insureds, brokers, and underwriters. Making regular and appropriate contact with internal and external customers. Giving guidance to the insured and/or broker to manage expectations.
- Prepare and execute investigation strategies that identify critical issues affecting liability, causation, and damages and consider opportunities for third-party contribution.
- Obtaining the appropriate authority to independently negotiate moderate to high severity complex commercial auto/GL claims nationwide with the top plaintiff attorneys. Document evaluation, thought process, and strategy. Utilizing ADR as appropriate and necessary.
- Effectively strategizing and budgeting the litigation of each claim through discussions with counsel, vendors, and insureds. Establish clear ground rules with defense and coverage counsel to maintain financial control of budget and expenses.
What you’ll need to succeed
- A minimum of 5+ years of Commercial/Industry claims experience
- Excellent communication skills (verbal/written) and strong negotiation skills
- Advanced experience and capabilities in litigation claims management, including ADR and mediation processes involving auto/GL exposures
- Experience attending and controlling cases at mediations/settlement conferences, pre-suit, post-suit, pre-trial, and post-trial.
- Motivated individuals interested in the potential for an upwardly mobile career path.
- Potential for flexible work arrangement, including remote working.
- Candidates residing outside the Atlanta metropolitan area will be considered.
