The Director, Business Development plays a critical role in driving revenue growth for Goodway Group of Companies by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, cultivating strategic agency partnerships, and forging relationships with key decision-makers. This role requires a consultative approach, deep industry knowledge, and the ability to articulate how our services can address client challenges and objectives.

Responsibilities:

Drive Revenue Growth: Oversee strategies and processes for new business development that directly drive revenue growth and demonstrate Goodway’s value proposition in the market. Develop a business plan including your approach for prospecting and margin attainment through net new engagements within your agreed-upon territory.
Consultative Client Engagement: Consult with clients to identify their business objectives and marketing challenges. Advise on data strategy, business analytics and insights, media execution, personalization, customer journey mapping, 1st party data utilization, and MarTech platform selection.
Industry Expertise: Maintain a strong understanding of changes in our clients’ industries and evolving needs. Deep understanding of the digital media landscape, market dynamics, and client needs. Familiarity with emerging trends and opportunities.
Network Building: Develop a network of key, strategic relationships within the marketing leadership ecosystem. Drive awareness of Goodway and our capabilities to extend our reach and impact in the market.
Pipeline Management and Partnerships: Maintain an ongoing pipeline of new business prospects in Salesforce. Negotiate and close strategic, profitable partnerships. Continuously evaluate the suite of services Goodway must have to compete for and win business, communicating and recommending these to internal partners.
Transition and Collaboration: Transition client relationships to the Client Services team, serving as an executive advisor. Develop internal partnerships across all functions and job levels. Collaborate with internal teams to design and deliver compelling pitches that solve clients' core business issues.
Pricing and Legal Expertise: Lead pricing conversations and contract negotiations for new business wins. Proactively understand and articulate the legal requirements of the client associated with what you are selling.
Industry Leadership: Establish yourself as a knowledge and thought leader across the industry. Serve as the company spokesperson at key industry events.
