Job Purpose
We are seeking a experienced Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in a key department role. You will provide support to the sales team by facilitating third-party financing arrangements and manage complex AR portfolio. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of lending practices and procedures, a solid understanding of accounting principals, and exceptional communication skills. We are looking for a highly organized, analytical individual who is committed to enforcing policies and ensuring compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with the sales team to support third-party financing arrangements for customers, ensuring seamless integration with sales transactions
Manage complex accounts, including those involving third-party financing, and provide expert guidance to ensure timely and accurate processing of payments and collections activities
Utilize in-depth knowledge of lending practices and procedures to assess creditworthiness and mitigate risk in third-party financing arrangements
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations, and enforce policies as necessary to protect the company's interests
Serve as a liaison between internal stakeholders and external financing partners, facilitating communication and resolving issues promptly and professionally
Conduct thorough analysis of customer financials, credit reports, and other relevant documents to make informed credit decisions
Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management, summarizing third-party financing activities and portfolio performance
Continuously monitor industry trends and regulatory changes related to third-party financing, and recommend updates to policies and procedures as needed
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, customer service, and finance to address customer inquiries and resolve billing disputes with professionalism and efficiency
Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment
Qualifications
Certified Credit Professional designation or Accounting degree
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts receivable, credit analysis, or related field, with a focus on third-party financing
Extensive knowledge of lending practices and procedures, with a solid understanding of accounting principles
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to stakeholders at all levels
Highly organized, analytical, and logical thinker, with the ability to prioritize tasks and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to upholding high standards of quality and compliance
Assertive and confident, with the ability to stand your ground and enforce policies when necessary
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software
Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive results in a dynamic environment
Exceptional skills in Power BI and other data analysis tools, with the ability to derive meaningful insight from complex datasets
Bilingual in French and English is an asset.
