Be the overarching owner of the sales processes from quote through enrollment with assigned broker firms for Large Group business. Develop an intimate knowledge of the market, broker firms, and carrier partner capabilities to assist in developing winning sales strategies at the case level.
This is a remote position; however, in person broker meetings are required so candidates must live in and be licensed in Colorado. Required Responsibilities
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
- Establish an in-depth understanding of our products and processes and how agents/brokers interact with these products and processes.
- Review RFP submissions and work with BSEs to develop a execute a quoting strategy for each case.
- Maintain increasing knowledge of insurance industry markets, products, and legal environments to provide a value-added service to agents/brokers.
- Creating and maintaining spreadsheets for large group sales proposals; provide broker client ready proposals
- Work in tandem with Sales Executives to effectively service agents/brokers and to encourage them to increase new sales opportunities by:
- Conducting regular follow-up calls to agents/brokers, to understand customer needs and build strategies to meet them.
- Providing information on carrier administrative procedures and product availability, and direction in selecting appropriate group products.
- Pre-screening individuals and groups for medical conditions to determine suitable products and risk adjustment factors on premium rates.
- Assisting agents/brokers in presenting our products to clients by attending client/broker meetings and enrollment meetings as needed; prepare necessary enrollment documents/benefit booklets.
- Adhere to BenefitMall confidentiality standards of information.
- Occasional long, irregular hours during peak times.
- Physical requirements include sitting, frequently speaking and hearing, and occasionally standing, walking, bending, crawling, kneeling and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Resolve conflicts, solve problems, and provide feedback to management.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications

- Associates degree or equivalent required.
- 4+ years professional experience in related selling, account management or servicing large group benefits.
- Knowledge of large group carrier plan features, benefits for both medical and non-medical/ancillary plans.
- Experience with financial and underwriting principals involved with large group plans.
- Strong knowledge of self-funded, level funded, or alternate funded plans.
- Active Life & Health License required.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook Exchange; proficient in web browsers, specifically Google Chrome.
The annual base salary for this position is $80,000 - $100,000. Additional incentive pay is available for this position.
