Job Title: Acquisitions Analyst

About the Role:

As an Acquisitions Analyst, you'll play a key role in supporting our company's growth strategy through acquisitions. You'll be responsible for analyzing potential target companies, conducting due diligence, and developing financial models to assess the feasibility and potential value of acquisition opportunities. Your strong analytical skills and financial acumen will be crucial in helping us identify and acquire businesses that align with our strategic objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive market research and identify potential acquisition targets.
  • Analyze target companies' financial statements, business models, and competitive landscapes.
  • Develop detailed financial models to project the potential financial impact of an acquisition.
  • Conduct due diligence investigations, including legal, financial, and operational aspects.
  • Participate in site visits and meetings with target company representatives.
  • Prepare presentations and reports to summarize findings and recommendations for senior management.
  • Assist with deal negotiations and transaction structuring (as applicable).
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and M&A best practices.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams (e.g., finance, legal) to ensure a smooth acquisition process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or a relevant financial analysis role.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills (proficiency in Excel and financial modeling software a plus).
  • Excellent research and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Understanding of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) principles (a plus).
  • Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
