Position Overview  

As Director, Deal Development, you will lead and inspire a multinational Deal Desk team serving our Named Accounts organizations in EMEA and APAC. You will facilitate and accelerate the further growth with our expanding and most strategic customers.

You understand our commercial environment, and by collaborating closely with important business partners in Sales, Customer Success, Consulting Services, Legal, Finance, Revenue Accounting, Product Management, Business Models and others you will guide the decision making on high-value and high-touch enterprise deals, ensuring compliance and execution.

Reporting into the Senior Director, Worldwide Sales Operations Services within our Global Revenue Operations organization, you will manage a team of 10+ people. Your team directly supports our Named Account Executives on complex sales opportunities from deal development to deal closure.

We work a lot in a virtual environment and travel will be limited to 1-2 times per quarter. We offer the flexibility to work from home and from an assigned Autodesk office to meet the team and for purposeful occasions.

Responsibilities  

  • Highly service oriented and with a customer-centric view
  • You will minimize and accelerate the internal sales cycle while optimizing annual recurring revenue (ARR) based on our priorities and deal structures
  • Lead, coach, mentor, develop, motivate and inspire a dynamic team
  • As Autodesk continues to grow, our contract guardrails need to evolve, and you are in the driver seat to drive this evolution
  • You will design, implement and evolve Deal Desk related processes for efficient scaling
  • You will challenge inefficiencies and look for opportunities to improve productivity
  • You use business intelligence and data to understand what's working and what's not, reporting on trends, risks, and areas for the business to improve on

Minimum Qualifications  

  • 10+ years of relevant Deals Desk, Sales Operations and/or Finance experience (with 5+ years in a Deal Desk management function), in the SaaS industry with progressive track record
  • Skills associated with leading a Deal Desk including strong commercial acumen, deal structuring, negotiating, and pricing
  • Communication skills, based on target audience
  • Influencing skills and to work collaboratively at all levels of the company, including advising senior management on main deals
  • Experienced to manage conflicting viewpoints, with professionality and respectfully, all while providing solutions
  • Structured work, customer-focus and a attention to details are important to you
  • Scaling and professionalization experience, excitement to work in a fast-growing and transformative environment
  • Fluent in English - additional languages welcomed
