The Job
Initiates, plans, executes, monitors, controls, and closes all assigned projects for the Digital Strategy team and/or digital strategic initiatives.
You Will
- Initiates, plans, executes, monitors, controls, and closes Digital Strategy projects, including stand-alone projects, projects within larger programs and/or multiple unrelated projects simultaneously.
- Initiates project by working with project lead(s) to develop project scope including goals, objectives, milestones, and deliverables. Works with the business resources and/or business analysts in gathering business requirements, current state assessments and/or project requirements to develop preliminary project documents.
- Develops and manages the project activities including but not limited to; integration, scope, time/ schedule development, cost, quality planning, project team, communications, risk and procurement. This includes defining tasks, and developing; high-level and detailed timelines and project plans and other project artifacts.
- Executes the project by leading the work of the project resources (internal and/or external) in a matrixed environment. Ensures project team is actively participating, collaborating and coordinating with each other as well as with other projects and/or business operations. Ensures project is identifying and considering all potential impacts throughout the company and raises these considerations if project team has not identified them.
- Monitors and controls all aspects of the project by measuring progress and correcting course when project goes beyond scope or is not meeting goals and objectives. Ensures project remains on timeline by managing schedules and resources and removing barriers. Works with project team, sponsors and/or DSO management to negotiate changes such as scope, timeline, deliverables and integration points.
- Oversees all project testing phases, including any coordination with developer staff, business departments, vendor resources and/or offshore testing resources.
- Manages project risk by identifying, planning for, developing and implementing strategies to mitigate or minimize risks and monitor findings, and monitoring risks throughout the project. Appropriately escalates risks and/or issues to VP Digital Strategy and/or DSO management as needed. Facilitates or assists with conflict resolution within project team.
- Closes project by developing closing documents and transition plans to support ongoing operations and ensures transfer of knowledge within the organization.
- Prepares project communications including status reports, dashboards, and other materials to keep stakeholders informed. Confers with project personnel to provide guidance and resolve problems. Responds in verbal or written form to inquiries from stakeholders. Facilitates internal and/or externals meetings. Develops and presents information in various formats to inform, gain cooperation and/or resolve issues.
- Acts as liaison between Digital Strategy team, project team and/or external vendors as needed.
- Oversee change control processes including; change request submission, IT forms submission, coordination with other IT departments and/or external vendors.
- Serves as department representative on larger scale, cross-departmental projects as needed. Provides consultative services to other projects that have integration points and/or impact to project to ensure collaboration and efficiency between projects.
- Assists DSO management team with ensuring project remains on budget by managing timelines and resources and preventing cost overruns. May manage third party resources, budgets and/or invoices.
- Assists DSO management team with operational tasks and objectives, as needed. Coordinates and works within internal and external ticketing systems for projects as well as operational tasks.
- Maintains positive relationships within SCAN business units, external vendors and other project stakeholders by proactively coordinating information exchange.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by conducting research and by attending educational and technological workshops.
- Actively support the achievement of SCAN’s Vision and Goals.
- Other duties as assigned.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- A comparable combination of education/experience and/or training will be considered equivalent to the education listed above.
- 3+ years related experience within HMO or healthcare company (preferred).
- 3+ years project management experience.
- Group motivation and discipline skills.
- Organization skills.
- Self-starter, quality minded; work with limited supervision.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- MS project or other project management software.
- Visio or other workflow software (preferred).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
