As the Social Media Strategist, you will be responsible for managing ad campaigns, creative, campaign budgets, performance, and day-to-day optimizations across paid social ad platforms.

This role is vital in driving our social media presence and optimizing our paid social marketing campaigns for maximum impact. The ideal candidate has a strong aptitude for developing paid social strategies, campaigns, and creative, as well as measuring impact.

Essential Responsibilities

• Strategy and Campaign Management
  • Develop and execute comprehensive paid social media strategies across social media platforms (Meta and TikTok) to achieve performance goals while maximizing ROI.
  • Manage budgets, optimization, and maintenance of ad campaigns across social media channels.
  • Research and make recommendations for performance opportunities in paid social.
  • Conduct audience and platform research to inform strategic decision making.

• Optimization and Performance Analysis
  • Drive channel, campaign, and conversion optimization using a data-driven approach and continuous testing.
  • Conduct testing to gain insights and identify new opportunities.
  • Analyze and provide comprehensive reports on performance for paid social channels, campaigns, audiences, and creative.

• Content Creation
  • Create copy, content, and videos for ads.
  • Identify user-generated content, images, and videos and format them for use in social ads.

• Team Collaboration
  • Present social media campaign plans, performance data, and project updates.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure ad copy and creative assets are brand aligned and compliant.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Must have:

• Bachelor's degree in either Business, Marketing, or a related field or equivalent skills and experience.
• Two or more years’ experience in social media advertising.
• Expertise in paid social strategies, creative best practices, and campaign optimization.
• Proficiency with Meta Ads Manager and TikTok Ads Manager.
• Experience in video editing using social media video editing tools and/or CapCut.
• Ability to develop compelling creative and ad copy.

Nice to have:

• Advanced analytical skills and the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
• Experience in higher education or another highly regulated industry.
