Sr. UX Researcher

Please Note: This is a Utah-based hybrid position which will require some regular in-office days each week.

What You'll Do

As a Senior UX Researcher at BambooHR, you’ll have the opportunity to guide the direction of our user research practice and be the primary user advocate while helping product teams grow their research discipline and methodologies. We’ll trust you to be the subject matter expert, so innovation, drive, and vision will be key as you help define and implement best practices for user research across the product development organization. You’ll also run the standardization of research processes across the team, and provide training and mentorship to designers and product managers so they can conduct more effective research themselves. More specifically, we need you to:

• Define and implement best practices for user research across the product team
• Mentor and train product designers and product managers and help them plan, conduct, and share the results of impactful user research
• Standardize user research processes and presentations by identifying tools, creating research templates and deliverables, etc.
• Drive research that will uncover meaningful insights into our users' behaviors, motivations, and goals by leading research activities like user interviews, contextual inquiry, quantitative surveys, diary studies, co-design sessions, concept evaluation, etc.
• Be an advocate for our users. Synthesize research and present findings in ways that create a strong empathetic understanding of our users
• Oversee ongoing usability testing and evaluation of our current products and identify and prioritize opportunities for improvements.

What You Need to Get the Job Done

A Senior UX Researcher at BambooHR has extensive experience to draw from and is willing to  take initiative in moving objectives forward with little oversight. We're looking for someone who:

• Has at least 6 years of software based UX research  experience 
• Has experience training and delivering complex info in a consumable way
• Has a portfolio of work demonstrating a high level of expertise in user research
