As the Senior Sales Analyst Commercial Operations Vision Care Europe you will be responsible for commercial analyses and reporting activities in the region and thereby contributes to the implementation of the commercial strategies across the VC Europe Franchise.

In this role, a typical day will include:

- Supports both, the regional Commercial Operations function and the most important local country organizations with standardized and ad hoc analyses.  In terms of content, this role covers all areas of commercial analyses that are not covered by standard systems (Salesforce/Einstein; FinD; Int'l Dashboards). This includes among others relevant Salesforce KPIs, sales analyses including promotions, samples, pricing, freight costs, and preparatory Go-To-Market analyses.

- Drives understanding of market, customer, and financial data to prepare decision making, action taking at regional and country level and to ensure that country plans are efficient and effective to drive business and deliver against strategy.

- Collaborates with BPAs and Sales Analysts in markets to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of commercials strategies and promotional activities in countries.

- Contributes to the European Quarterly Business Review (QBR) process.

- Works closely with VC Europe Finance, Int’l / regional CommEx Teams, country organizations as well as IMG Pricing Team.

- Supports jointly with the Commercial Operations and the Commercial Excellence Team the preparation of the annual Go-To-Market Reviews with the countries

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

Education: University Degree or equivalent; ideally Finance or MBA

Languages: Fluency in English and one other European language

Experience / Professional requirement:            

  • Background in financial / sales analysis

  • >5 years combined with strong business acumen

  • Strong leadership skills, leading small project teams and building European VC Sales Analysts community

  • Experience in OTC / medical device is an advantage

  • Experienced in working across functions and matrix organizations, strong ability in building and maintaining effective working relationships with variety of people

  • Strong analytical and strategic skills

  • Experiences in the use of SAP, Sales Force, Foresight, BI, etc

  • Outstanding communication skills, especially when working remotely across region

  • High level of self-motivation as line manager as well as partners (local country organizations, Commercial Operations etc) are not necessarily on site
