Role overview

CAST AI is seeking a skilled senior software engineer with strong fundamentals on data science. Expertise in databases and caching is considered a big advantage. The candidate will be able to work on a stealth project with a high impact on the outcome.

• Experience with data science and machine learning
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a production environment
• Strong programming skills in Go and/or C+
• Experience with databases: postgres, mysql, mongo, clickhouse
• Experience working with and developing performant and robust caching
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

• Clickhouse for business metrics
• Jupyter Notebooks for troubleshooting system behaviors from collected metrics
  
• GCP PubSub for messaging
• GRPC and REST APIs
• GitLab CI with ArgoCD as our GitOps CD engine
• Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and Tempo for observability
• Deployment charts are written in Helm.

Experience with everything mentioned is not a strict prerequisite for the ideal candidate, but it does offer a competitive edge.
