Position Overview**
We are seeking a skilled USDA Underwriter to join our vibrant and expanding team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in evaluating USDA Rural Development loan applications, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to regulatory guidelines. Your primary responsibilities will include analyzing financial statements, assessing repayment capacity, and compiling detailed credit memos for final approval. **
Key Responsibilities**
- Review USDA loan applications, ensuring compliance with 7 CFR 5001 regulations
- Conduct thorough financial analysis and risk assessment
- Collaborate with various stakeholders including borrowers, BDA/BDOs, and closing partners
- Prepare comprehensive credit memoranda outlining terms and conditions for loan closure
- Maintain proficiency in relevant departmental systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Minimum of three years of experience in USDA Rural Development
- Three or more years of experience in commercial loan underwriting or financial analysis
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficiency in financial spreading and analysis
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
