The Team:

The Enterprise Solutions business within S&P Global Market intelligence provides buy-side, sell-side, and corporate clients with industry-leading software, data and services. The business portfolio offers a broad range of product offerings covering enterprise data management, investment management, loans platforms, regulatory and compliance solutions, and private markets solutions.

The Enterprise Solutions Technology function is accountable for delivering technology solutions for the Enterprise Solutions products, in partnership with the product, commercial and wider divisional functions. The Enterprise Solutions Technology function comprises of the Business Segment / Product aligned delivery functions, Architecture & Design, Technology & Infrastructure Services, Engineering Enablement Services & Industrialization, Data Science & Data Engineering and Project Management Office.

The Impact:

  • We are looking for Group Manager Data Architecture to join the Architecture function in the Enterprise Solutions Technology. The Position is regarded as the Subject Matter Expert on data strategy and brings in-depth development, design and architecture expertise to lend support to the delivery of complex data solutions. The role is responsible to translate business requirements into technology requirements and define data standards and principles, often in support of data or digital transformations. The data architect is responsible for visualizing and designing an organization’s enterprise data management framework. This framework describes the processes used to plan, specify, enable, create, acquire, maintain, use, archive, retrieve, control, and purge data. The role will also provide a standard common business vocabulary, expresses strategic requirements, outlines high-level integrated designs to meet those requirements, and aligns with enterprise strategy and related business architecture.

What’s in it for you:

  • Leads the creation and evolution of the strategy and direction of data design, business intelligence, and analytics including data streams, integrations, transformations, databases, and data warehouses.
  • Formulates standards, processes, and procedures to align with the data architecture/management for business and products.
  • Define long-term data architecture, blueprint, and strategy to support business growth for next 3-5yrs and help to plan for readiness of systems across functions.
  • Working closely with CTO, CDO and other Data Architects to deliver data solutions at highest standards.
  • Managing data definition, usage, quality, metrics for data attributes, data models and data dictionary and measuring to follow all the data architecture standards.
  • Accountable for creation and maintenance of Data Strategy, Roadmaps including designs, ensuring appropriate architectural governance approvals are obtained.
  • Ensure that Data Models are central to design and Physical data Models are forward engineered from central Logical Data Model in new builds.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 18+ years of experience with atleast 8+ years of experience in Data strategy , Architecture & design
  • Exposure to data design, data transformation, ETL, Monitoring tools APIs, various data formats (JSON, Avro, Parquet) and experience in documenting/maintaining interface inventories.
  • Data Design and Requirements Analysis: Able to apply data design patterns and frameworks, working knowledge of schemas and normalisation.
  • Excellent communication and people management skills
  • Ability to manage senior business stakeholders and internal technical team.
  • Ability to understand implications of technology decisions holistically - business, implications on other solutions, security, performance, migration, customer experience etc.
  • Relevant Certifications is preferred.
  • Experience in Financial domain is a plus.
  • Technical Skills
    • Knowledge of a RDBMS system (Oracle/Postgres ) & NOSql Databases
    • Good understanding of distributed systems and databases
    • Performance Engineering - Can explain performance and capacity planning concepts and processes, Ability to performance tune applications using various runtime tools provided for Technology Stack.
