Who we are

The Personalization Platform Product team is a part of the Customer Experience & Personalization organization within Verizon’s Consumer business unit. Our goal is to deliver Personalization Products that enable 1:1 Personalization capabilities for every customer interaction, with the following principles:

• AI-led, AI-native - replacing human decision making with machine-scalable probabilistic decision making  

• Self learning - native feedback loops and adaptive models that automate learning and optimization cycles

• Value optimizing - optimize the expected value of every interaction, balancing Revenue, Cost, and Customer Satisfaction

Verizon is seeking a highly motivated Data Product Owner working in partnership with our Artificial Intelligence and Data (AI&D) organization. This role is pivotal in achieving data-centric AI to drive enhanced personalization experiences for our customers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for enabling the right data, building and managing robust data pipelines, and continuously monitoring this data to ensure optimal system performance.

What will you do

• Data Strategy and Vision- Work closely with cross-functional teams to define and implement a data-centric vision for the personalization system.

• Pipeline Development- Consult on and oversee the design, build, and optimization of data pipelines to ensure timely and accurate data availability for the personalization system.

• Data Governance- Enforce data governance principles, ensuring adherence to regulations, standards, and best practices.

• Product Roadmap- Develop and maintain a product roadmap for the personalization system's data capabilities, ensuring alignment with Verizon’s broader objectives.

• Feedback Loop- Establish feedback mechanisms to continuously gather insights from internal teams and iterate on the personalization system based on these learnings.

• Issue Resolution- Proactively identify potential data issues, and work with relevant teams to resolve them in a timely manner.

• Data Monitoring and Management- Implement tools and processes to continuously monitor data quality, ensuring its integrity, accuracy, and timeliness.

• Stakeholder Collaboration- Collaborate with engineering, analytics, AI teams, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment and meet the data needs of the personalization system.

Core Competencies

• Proven experience in data product management, preferably in a personalization or AI context.

• Strong understanding of data pipeline architectures, tools, and technologies.

• Demonstrated experience in data governance and adherence to best practices.

• Strong collaboration, communication, and leadership skills.

• Familiarity with AI and ML concepts is a plus.

You’ll Need to Have

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field

• Six or more years of relevant work experience.

• Six or more years experience in an IT or Business function.

Even better if you have:

• Experience in a Telecom, Cable, or Banking/Finance.

• Experience as a Platform manager.
