Compensation //

$48,000 MXN to $56,000 MXN Monthly (gross), depending on experience

In a Nutshell //

We are looking for a Software Developer who has extensive experience developing in PHP using the Laravel framework and who is passionate about building high quality products to delight and empower our clients.  The position will work remotely in Mexico and report to the Director of Software Development.

What you will do //

• Build new features for client and internal facing web applications.
• Utilize queues and workers to transcode and delivery audio and video at scale.
• Work with a cross functional team of developers, product, and QA.
• Ensure high-quality, through code reviews, automated testing, and monitoring.
• Deploy new features behind features flags in a CI/CD process.
• Contribute to retrospectives and process improvements.
• Help to manage the data and analytics in MySQL and Snowflake.

What you need to have //

• Minimum 5 years of development experience with PHP 8+ and MVC frameworks, specifically Laravel 7+ or Symfony.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Expertise with SQL, schema design, and data migrations.
• Moderate experience with JavaScript and CSS.
• Experience researching and using third party APIs.
• Comfort working with a partially distributed team.

What will set you apart //

• Experience working with feature flags in a CI/CD environment.
• More familiarity with the Laravel framework, including Scheduler and Queues or other well-known modules.
• Experience using AWS services including S3, SQS, CloudWatch, etc.
• Knowledge of XML and XSDs
• Knowledge of audio or video encoding

• Experience using AWS services, like: CloudWatch, EC2, ECS, EFS, Fargate, IAM, Lambda, RDS, S3, SQS, VPC

• Love for music
