About the role:
As a Senior QA Automation Engineer, you will be part of a highly skilled technology and agile team by supporting and developing cutting-edge solutions to meet our business requirements. You will help us accelerate our customers' business results by innovating cutting-edge digital products.
Some of your essential day-to-day job duties and responsibilities will include:
- Planning: work with product management and engineering to develop test plans for large and small projects
- Manual testing of front and backend services
- Create, update, maintain, and execute a regression test plan
- Automate portions of the test plan
- Defect Management: Any defects found during testing are documented and tracked
- Test Reporting: After testing is complete, a comprehensive test report is generated that includes the test results, defects
- Maintain a record of specific releases, test coverage, and failures
- Regular automated smoke tests and oversight following deploys
Our Requirement:
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in test automation, with a strong QA background.
- Strong understanding of metadata concepts, standards (e.g., JSON, XML, RDF), and best practices.
- Experience creating automated frameworks and test suites from the ground up (Cypress, Selenium, Cucumber).
- Proficiency in Javascript and ability to pass a coding challenge.
- Proficiency in querying and analyzing data using SQL or other relevant tools.
- Familiar with AWS, Google Cloud, or other cloud hosting services.
- Knowledge of digital streaming devices is strongly preferred.
- Continuous integration tool experience to monitor test automation (Jenkins).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to support a 24x7 broadcast operation that occasionally requires support outside of normal work hours.
