Solutions Architect (Montreal)

Nurun is looking for a Solutions Architect. The ideal candidate is stimulated and has the ability to design digital solution architectures for different clients around the world. The Solutions Architect is the technical reference for day-to-day development teams. This person will contribute to the technological vision and the service offering of the company by participating in daily brainstorming sessions in order to propose new ideas and tools. 

Your day-to-day involves

• Being the technical reference for the development and architecture of our solutions;
• Mitigating risks and implementing robust solutions while taking various constraints into consideration;
• Contributing to the technological vision and service offer of the agency;
• Producing proofs of concept to validate hypotheses;
• Defining the technological architecture of a system in detail (components, products integration, servers, security, etc.);
• Participating in brainstorming sessions and bringing forth ideas on tools and technologies;
• Documenting the technical specifications and implementation details of a project;
• Being in a position to offer technical support (and mentoring) to the developers;
• Participating in the planning and analysis of new functionalities to develop.

Condition for success 

• University degree in Computer Science or the equivalent relevant experience;
• Highly experienced in PHP;
• Skilled in the following technologies: PHP (Drupal, Doctrine, Symfony, Laravel), Node.js, XDebug, Vagrant, Docker, GIT, JSON, AJAX, Composer, Nexus, Jenkins, SonarQube, and CI/CD processes;
• Knowledge of front-end frameworks, such as Vue, and Angular;
• Skilled working with MySQL and relational databases;
• In-depth knowledge of infrastructure and DevOps;
• Ability to intervene in all phases of a project, from specifications to tests;
• A sense of leadership and at ease communicating concepts;
• Bilingual (French and English).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, Google, and Acquia.
