Product Marketing Engineer (f/m/d)

Located in Lampertheim the Product Marketing Engineer (f/m/d) works closely with the Product Marketing Managers to define our Discrete IGBTs, MOSFETs and wide bandgap products at device and system level, leverage our competitive advantages and support the new product developments. In this Position you will report to the Product Marketing Manager SiC and multichip discrete devices.

About the Job:

• Technical expert at the device level for the product family, understanding the use cases at application and system levels

• Work closely with the Sales and FAE team when new business opportunities appear to prepare and support the technical proposal

• Work closely with the R&D and project management as technical interface for the PM team

• Participate to the definition and execution of the roadmap

• Understand and keep track of the technical trends in our markets and our competition

• Generate technical marketing collateral, application notes, datasheets and other technical documents

• Emulate application and customer conditions in the lab and perform benchmarks

• 2nd line technical support as technical expert for our products

About you

• Bachelor's or Master's degree with specialization in power electronics

• 2-3 years of work experience in power electronics, hands on lab

• Affinity on measurements and programming

• Understanding of loss calculations of IGBTs and MOSFETs, their efficiencies, SOA, RBSOA, turn on/ turn off behavior, Miller behavior, gate switching characteristics

• Basic understanding of different topologies like fly back, forward, 2-switch forward, half bridge, full bridge, 2-level, 3-level inverter and converter, PFC topology and PCB design are required

• Knowledge in writing technical articles and preparing and giving technical presentations in PowerPoint 

• Willingness to engage directly with customers

• Ability to work with different cultures

• Fluent English skills are mandatory
