Job description
Your missionsMCS Group is searching for an ambitious Junior Software Engineer for a brand new role with an Irish-owned growing software company which specialises in delivering bespoke software solutions to organisations and studios within the gaming industry.The Rewards: - A starting salary of €30,000 - €35,000 per annum - Company pension contributions - Learning and development fund - Remote first working model (from within Ireland)
The Requirements: - Degree-level education in computer science or other related fields - Proficiency in one or more coding languages that are commonly associated with backend software development such as C#, Python, JavaScript or C++ - Prior commercial experience working in software development amounting to a minimum of 1 year (this can be from a university placement or internship) - Must have experience with Unity or Unreal Engine - Good Communication - A willingness and ability to pick up new technologies and tools quickly - Experience with a range of software tools
The Role: - The Software Engineer will develop and maintain high-quality, scalable code for customers. - Collaboration across multi-functional teams - Adherence to industry best practices and internal standards - Implementation of cloud-based infrastructure
