The Opportunity

We're seeking a dynamic and results-driven leader to spearhead our operations in China, contributing to our vision of establishing a distinctive IZEA presence in this crucial market.

As the Country Manager for China, you will not only represent IZEA in the Chinese market but also lead and inspire a team of dedicated professionals. Leveraging your extensive network and expertise in the Chinese brand and agency landscape, you will forge impactful relationships to drive business growth and enhance our market positioning. 

Reporting to the General Manager of Emerging Markets and collaborating closely with internal teams, you will provide guidance and mentorship to ensure the success and development of team members, while also leading the strategic direction of our operations in China.

Your Mission to IZEA:

  • Lead a team providing day-to-day leadership, guidance, and productive change management to drive business activities to reach IZEA's goals.

  • Offer mentorship and empower the team to excel in serving clients, collaborating closely with the General Manager and Global Head of Growth for talent development.

  • Develop and implement an effective hiring strategy to attract top talent, ensuring the team is well-equipped to meet business objectives and drive growth in the Chinese market.

  • Develop and nurture relationships with key Chinese brands and agencies, serving as the primary point of contact for business partnerships and strategic initiatives.

  • Strategically plan and execute sales activities to achieve company objectives, including lead generation, negotiation, and deal closure.

  • Network proactively within the Chinese outbound field, attending events and meet-ups to foster industry connections and identify new opportunities.

  • Work closely with internal teams, including Client Strategy, Creator Partnership, Business Operations, and Campaign Service, to deliver comprehensive solutions that drive client success.

  • Provide ongoing customer support, ensuring client satisfaction and addressing any concerns or challenges in a timely manner.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics to inform business strategies and maintain a competitive edge.

What You will bring to IZEA:

  • 5+ years of proven success in leadership, with a track record of achieving and exceeding strategic objectives within the media, marketing or influencer industry, preferably within the Chinese cross-border e-commerce, App/Gaming industry.

  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities, with experience managing teams remotely.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team, with a focus on driving performance and fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders at all levels.

  • Strong understanding of MarTech/AdTech sales tactics, workflows, and best practices.

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
