TCGplayer connects hobbyists and hobby businesses to communities. The Payments, Fees & Taxes is a newly formed team at TCGplayer. As a result of our steady growth and in order to support our future ambitions, we need to mature in this critical business area. This team will be tasked with supporting our financial operations at TCGplayer and allowing our business to scale, domestically and internationally.

As a Frontend Engineer III, you will be a driver for many of our projects here at TCGplayer. You can act independently and lead a project throughout its entire lifecycle from design through development and deployment. You are proficient in many technical areas and you execute with speed and accuracy. You are able to bridge the gap between Product Owners, UI/UX Designers and more backend focused engineers to ensure a cohesive and collaborative approach to product development.

What you will accomplish:

• Contribute to the next generation of seller tooling that will set the stage for expansion into international markets, new verticals, and a true omni-channel experience for local hobby shops.

• Componentize and modularize the building blocks of our seller tools by growing our Design Language System library to create a cohesive experience across our suite of products.

• Implement critical projects like refactoring TCGplayer’s Seller Payments & Fee Processing platforms.

• Eliminate fraudulent actors on our platform to create a more trusted marketplace for buyers and sellers.

• Implement RBAC into your solutions so that we have the internal controls vital to support SOX compliance.

What you will bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related field, or a combination of education and experience

• 5+ years of frontend development experience with JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks, preferably Vue

• Experience with CSS preprocessors like Sass or LESS, modern CSS techniques, and responsive web development

• Experience with testing frameworks and libraries such as Jest, Mocha, Jasmine, or Cypress for unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.

• Knowledge of web accessibility (a11y) standards and best practices, such as WCAG 2

• Experience with JavaScript build tools and bundlers such as Vite, Webpack, and Rollup

• Experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to work independently within a geographically dispersed agile team participating in all Agile ceremonies

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with omni-channel eCommerce and transaction-based applications

• Interest and experience within the hobby gaming industry

• Experience with ERP platforms, SOX compliance

$114,800 - $176,550

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
