Scopely is looking for a Lead Enterprise Engineer to join our  Marvel Strike Force team in the US on a remote basis.

Marvel Strike Force is Scopely's squad-based RPG's, housing heroes and villains across the Marvel Universe. 

What You Will Do

• Oversee and contribute to a small team of engineers. You will help plan, organize, and direct the engineering work, ensuring on-time completion and quality outcomes
• Analyze, implement, and improve complex systems responsible for delivering our games to millions of fans
• Partner with game teams to advise on and implement best practices as we turn ideas into great player experiences
• Take ownership of projects, seeing them through to completion in a timely manner while maintaining standards for the quality of execution
• Engage with product teams to diagnose and resolve operational concerns
• Form and maintain relationships with internal and external partners to best support our peers and customers
• Consistently aim to optimize reliability, availability, observability, and cost
• Participate in the SRE team’s on-call rotation that assists with business-critical incidents impacting our partners

What We’re Looking For

• Prior experience as a team lead
• 5+ years of experience in a Site Reliability, Devops, or Platform engineering role
• Ability to analyze desired project outcomes and derive requirements that will take an idea from concept to completion
• Versed in one or more high-level languages (Python, Ruby, JavaScript, and C# are all common on our projects but we are not picky).
• Understanding of Linux fundamentals
• Understanding of AWS’s core services, their use cases, best practices, and their coinciding implementation strategies
• Experience implementing and maintaining Configuration Management and Infrastructure as Code with best practices. We use Chef and Terraform respectively, but will help level up the right individual in these specific tools.
• Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD systems
• Experience with observability, application monitoring, and telemetry collection

For candidates in CA, CO, NJ, NY and WA, the annual salary range is $139,600-$234,500 , plus equity, bonus and benefits including healthcare benefits, retirement benefits, pet insurance, paid holidays, paid Scopely free days, and unlimited paid time-off. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience
