Maximus is looking to fill an Coordinator - Appeals position. The essential duties of this role includes analyzing submitted data, meeting critical deadlines for complex cases, and providing thorough responses to inquiries from participants, all while adhering to state laws, regulations, and client contracts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Function as a Subject Matter Expert in one or more process areas.
  • Analyze data submitted for Independent Medical Review.
  • Track and meet required deadlines for complex cases or other assigned tasks.
  • Analyze data using all applicable state law, state regulations, process documents, and other sources as defined by the client contract.
  • Answer and respond to phone calls/emails from participants in the Independent Medical Review process.

Minimum Requirements**

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • 0-2 years of experience required.

Preferred, But Not Required

  • Call center experience
  • Digital Mailing (Faxing)
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to draft proper email correspondence
  • Proficiency with Microsoft and Salesforce programs
  • 2+ years office experience preferably medical

Pay Transparency

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
