The Operations Engineer role is critical in supporting and implementing high-quality DevOps practices within the team, focusing on infrastructure management across Google Cloud and hybrid cloud environments. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation and reliability of our cloud infrastructure, aiding in migrations, and optimizing DevOps practices to enhance team performance and project outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Implement and advocate for best DevOps practices within the team, enhancing efficiency and reliability.
• Support the team in managing and optimizing infrastructure across Google Cloud and hybrid cloud environments.
• Assist in the planning and execution of infrastructure migrations, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance.
• Work closely with development teams to integrate DevOps methodologies throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and manage resolution of infrastructure issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Participate in continuous learning and application of new technologies and practices to improve infrastructure and DevOps practices.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure security best practices are integrated into infrastructure management and DevOps workflows.

Requirements for the Candidate:

• Proven experience in infrastructure management, preferably within Google Cloud and hybrid cloud environments.
• Strong understanding and advocacy of DevOps practices and their importance to team efficiency and project success.
• Experience with infrastructure migrations and understanding of best practices to minimize risk and downtime.
• Familiarity with cloud services and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools.
• Ability to work collaboratively with development teams and integrate DevOps practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills to effectively share knowledge and practices within the team.

Preferred Competencies:

• Certifications in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or relevant cloud technologies.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of security practices and how they apply to cloud infrastructure and DevOps.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and their application in infrastructure management.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges and finding solutions.
• Ability to adapt and learn new technologies, tools, and practices to continuously improve team performance and project outcomes.
