Description

The Manager, Payer Marketing is responsible for the development and execution of strategies and tactics to ensure brand success. In partnership with cross-functional partners, this position will develop plans and utilize appropriate tools and tactics to brand initiatives for payer and channel audiences. This individual will work closely with Market Access to align, gain, and share customer insights in the development of customer programs to strengthen and expand the value proposition to drive growth and ensure optimal access. This position will ensure cross-functional alignment between Marketing, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Legal, and Regulatory. This role reports to the Senior Director, Marketing. This is a remote-based position located in the United States.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategies and oversee tactics that ensure the successful execution of brand access goals
  • Work with cross-functional partners (Market Access, National Account Directors, Field Sales, Medical, Legal, Commercial Analytics and other key internal stakeholders) to develop comprehensive payer strategies and tactics that align to the marketing objectives
  • Lead all formulary pull-through initiatives, including design and implementation of key field access tools and resources
  • Manage agency and vendor relationships to develop promotional programs and tactics aligned with the payer/brand strategy
  • Participate in Market Access team meetings, including the annual account business planning process
  • Complete regular account visits, monitor via secondary market research and sponsor’s primary market research to aid in the development of sound managed markets brand tactics
  • Participate at priority market access trade and professional association meetings and manage the brand activities at those meetings in collaboration with National Account Directors
  • Develop and maintain a thorough, comprehensive, and current understanding of the dynamics driving the various managed markets segments and channels including Commercial Managed Care, Medicare, Medicaid, Trade, Integrated Delivery Systems/Systems of Care, Accountable Care Organizations, and other institutions
  • Collaborate with Market Research to design and conduct research with key customer segments to aid in the development of sound managed markets business strategy
  • Effectively manage budgets and project timelines
  • Collaborate with Training team to develop and execute appropriate training programs to ensure field teams can utilize and execute resources
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years; Master’s degree with 6 years; or PhD with 3 year’s experience. Proven emerging management experience demonstrating business acumen, exposure to developing and delivering functional/department goals, delivering results, challenging current practices to drive improvement and innovation, coaching and developing subordinates through sharing knowledge/experience including remote and cross functional teams
  • 4+ years of access marketing experience (Industry or agency)
  • Prior sales experience a plus, but not required
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Specialty product experience, specifically reimbursement and PSP
  • Understanding and experience with Medical, Legal, Regulatory Review Process
  • Veeva knowledge/experience a plus
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Responsibilities may require a work schedule that includes working outside of “normal” work hours, in order to meet business demands and approximately 20-30% travel is required

The anticipated annual base salary range for this role is $120,000 to $140,000. Final compensation depends on multiple factors including but not limited to, relevant experience, skillset, depth and breadth of knowledge, internal equity, and external market factors.
