Job Description

The role combines skills of curriculum design, instructional design, project management, vendor management, and technology. Curriculum Design is the process of defining the optimal training journey, or pathway, for each audience to develop any needed knowledge bases and competencies. Instructional Design is the process of designing and developing the training courses/experiences to ensure all learning objectives are met and trainees are equipped with the specified knowledge and competencies following their successful completion of each training. Project and vendor management is the process of working with our courseware developers to provide information, guidance, and oversight in the creation of training assets.

You will design and develop curriculum and instructional materials for your assigned audiences and products, as well as participate in their creation.

• Partner with Delivery Enablement and functional areas to establish and continually improve end-to-end training capabilities
• Collaborate with SMEs and other stakeholders to design curriculum and course content (Instructor-Led, Virtual, eLearning, Emerging Channels) with the goal of translating that into actionable learning, in a timely manner 
• Assess needs and become subject matter expert by building relationships with product house, reading documentation, attending training, researching your audience and attending product meetings
• Meet with Sales Training teams and Product teams to keep abreast of new functionality and how it impacts the technical audience
• Design each curriculum and course to include description, length, audience, pre-requisites, objectives, outcomes, agendas and course outlines/storyboards reflecting a Day in the Life of that audience
• Apply various instructional strategies, models, and theories to create instructionally sound content
• Integrate emerging instructional methods and technologies into e-learning
• Ensure that learning components in all modalities are grounded in principles of adult learning  
• Define and manage project schedules and manage multiple assigned courses simultaneously to ensure appropriate stakeholder input, quality and on-time completion 
• Develop/assign and edit training materials including training slides, Instructor Guides, Participant Guides, exercises, case studies, job aids, and supplemental training materials to extend learning retention and ‘in the moment’ resource documents to increase learning and retention
• Validate the quality of the course by doing a Pilot and updating the course as needed.
• Drive excellence by promoting industry leading practices and continual improvement initiatives
• Contribute to standard processes & best practices for curriculum development, leveraging adult learning principles and modern learning theory
• Synthesize and utilize review feedback to ensure appropriate delivery methods and activity types are utilized to improve learning outcomes, meet customer needs, and align with overall blended strategy 
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure requirements are being met and projects are kept on schedule
• Load training content to appropriate repositories / platforms for record retention and distribution and maintain version control

Qualifications

 Bachelor's degree in any field

- 3-5 years’ experience as an instructional designer with proficiency in either live (ILT, Virtual) or asynchronous (eLearning) instructional design modalities
- Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning theory and application in a blended learning environment
- Able to understand training needs and translate them into creative and engaging training solutions
- Demonstrated success at developing curriculum paths based on skill requirements and training needs in multiple modalities
- Experience working in a multi-cultural, global organization
- Outstanding communications, problem solving and project management skills
- Ability to influence and indirectly manage across functional teams
- Strong time management, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to take direction in overall course design & objectives, but add value through exceptional execution
- Creative ability to express complex topics clearly and concisely, in an engaging manner that will resonate with each audience
- Experience in delivering training instruction a plus
- Excellent organization / project management skills and the ability to advance multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Ability to multi-task, flexibly prioritize projects, and respond to feedback 
- Experience in a sales and/or technical field a plus, implementing software with an understanding of database concepts
- Knowledge of Healthcare/Life Sciences Industry and/or SaaS Technology a plus

Additional Information

We have a requirement for 12 ILT Instructional Designers for our team in EMEA. Ideally, the IDs will live near Pasig Philippines or Bangalore India. It is completely a work from home situation. It is imperative for the ILT IDs to have a background in developing technical training and creating software simulations. Experience in a product training development and delivery environment is vital. Knowledge on Salesforce is a plus.
