As Director of Payer Engagement & Strategy, you will lead and execute Aledade’s strategic partnerships with national and regional health plans and healthcare-related organizations as we help primary care providers shift into value-based care. This role will report to the Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships, in the Chief Commercial Officer’s organization. We are flexible with respect to geographic location, and the ideal candidate will be comfortable working remotely with travel. 

Your footprint:
  • Manage strategic payer portfolios across all states and segments to maximize platform contribution
  • Contribute to the company's goals on health plan contracting for commercial, Medicare Advantage and Medicaid value-based contracts via your assigned payer partnerships
  • Work closely with the Sr Director to build out the Strategic Payer Management Team
  • Work closely with internal (performance, contract negotiation and growth) and payer stakeholders to build strong strategic relationships. This work is inclusive of (but not limited to): preparation and leadership of payer national JOCs, drive payer-specific coordination across Aledade functional teams, delivery of executive level reports and decisions on status of relationship (inclusive of risks), and the elevation to Sr Director any risks and resources needed
  • Build multi-year strategic plans for each assigned payer in each market to align long term goals

  • About You:
  • 10+ years in healthcare with health plans within value-based care 
  • Expert in relationship management, portfolio management, building and managing high performing teams
  • Master’s degree or other advanced degrees in management, health services research, health and/or public policy, or other relevant fields is preferred.
  • Strong strategic planning and analytical skills
  • Passionate about driving the shift from fee-for-service to value based care
  • Results-oriented with the ability to access financial and operational outcomes of contracts 
  • Proven track record of creating, maintaining, and enhancing customer relationships and communicating effectively with colleagues in senior management.
  • Ability to think beyond one's immediate team and contribute to making Aledade holistically better (active engagement in D&I efforts, culture initiatives, facilitating training, leading roundtables, etc.)
