The Technical Sales Manager, Europe, Middle East and Africa is responsible for technical support of sales growth and new product introduction at EMEA OEMs that design and sell technologies in the RF and Microwave industry.  This position will focus on growth in defense and commercial markets including Mil/Aero, Space, Datacom, Wireless, Quantum Computing and Test & Instrumentation. The ideal candidate will be able to draw from an engineering background to provide technical solutions and introduce new products.  We are seeking a local national for this position. Base countries in order of preference are France, Germany, UK, Other.

The TSM will be supported with the resources needed to have an immediate impact on sales growth.  The ideal candidate will have ample opportunity for upward mobility within SV Microwave and the Amphenol Corporation.

Primary responsibilities for the position include:
  • Develop business in new and existing accounts and markets.
  • Provide technical support to existing Amphenol sales team and local distribution partners.
  • Identify new products and technologies that will result in increased revenue in territory.
  • Address competitive threats, drive strategic decisions with partners, manage multiple high priority activities.
  • Coordinate with other functional departments to ensure effective execution on opportunities to maximize capture rate.
The requirements for this position are as follows:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related field from 4-year accredited university
  • 5 year’s minimum proven track record in in the electronics industry working with OEM’s and value-added partners
  • Ability to interact at all levels within an account including design engineer, purchasing and program management
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 40%
Desired qualifications include:
  • Experience in the RF/Microwave industry
  • Strong technical aptitude and ‘driver’ mentality
