At Credit Union Solutions, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the role of Senior Product Owner, Commercial Database Technology for our Symitar core platform. We are on a path to transition our customers to a commercial database technology, paving the way for improved data access, enhancing their system performance and strengthening their operational and system resiliency. This is a very high visibility role, managing one of the company's most important strategic initiatives. Who you are: - You are a experience software professional, with experience developing and delivering commercial software to the enterprise marketplace. - You are an experienced and innovative professional with prior experience in data technologies and transaction processing. - You are well versed in current data management, and data integration technologies, particularly focused on Microsoft's SQL Server product and associated ecosystem partners. - You have worked to incorporate vendor products into your solution.
What you'll be responsible for: - Work with the product manager and engineering manager to lead and execute the commercial database deliveries for the Symitar core platforms. - Manage the development process (from definition through release) to deliver on committed features and capabilities including: - Bring/enhance your industry/market knowledge to guide the direction of the team's efforts, prioritize tasks and initiatives. - Maintain, enhance and groom product backlogs (epics, features and user stories). - Support the beta testing of new product releases and relevant features. - Coordinate the efforts with the rest of the broader organization to ensure readiness for each product release (demos for marketing, education for training, support, & implementations, pricing, etc.). - Lead efforts to interact with subject matter experts, gather feedback, identify new use cases and prioritize development activities. - May perform other job duties as assigned.
What you'll need to have: - Minimum of 10 years of product owner or development experience. - Experience in agile development and using agile tools.
What would be nice for you to have: - Excellent communication skills which can allow interaction with both business and technical audiences. - Ability to iterate/refine requirements (functional and non-functional) and accompanying testing criteria for product/services. - Experience working with managing a product (or service) developed by a vendor or 3rd party. - Excellent knowledge of database technology, management, and administration. - Ability to manage multiple projects/priorities while meeting deadlines. - Working/leading cross functional teams. - A bias for action and the ability to execute. - Managing the completion of projects/programs that require coordinating with different parts of the organization. - Experience in a software modernization effort, implementing new cloud based architectures and technologies. - Excellent familiarity with financial services customers, their needs, the solutions that they deploy. - If you got this far, we hope you're feeling excited about this opportunity.
