Job description

The IT Operations Manager will manage the BAU (Business As Usual) tasks for all Applications and Peripherals.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring critical systems, coordinating our Disaster Recovery Program, and implementing quality standards in IT Operations. This role is vital for ensuring the smooth functioning of our Core Banking, API Layer, Payment Operations, Card Connection, and AWS Account Management.

  • System Monitoring: Continuously monitor all IT systems including Core Banking, API Layer, Payment Operations, and Card Connection to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Issue Resolution and Downtime Management: Lead the response to operational issues, coordinating efforts to resolve system outages or interruptions promptly. Implement strategies to minimize downtime and its impact on business operations.
  • Disaster Recovery Coordination: Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures for disaster recovery and data backup. Conduct regular drills and ensure readiness for any potential system disruptions.
  • Quality Implementation in IT Operations: Establish and enforce IT operations quality standards. Continuously improve operational processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • AWS Account Management: Manage the AWS account, ensuring efficient and cost-effective use of resources. Implement best practices in cloud operations and security.
  • Internal coordination: Work with internal teams to identify and resolve operations issues. Lead the team responsible for operations monitoring, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to ensure seamless integration and maintenance of IT services.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Prepare and present regular reports on IT operations status and incident management.
  • Innovation and Improvement: Implement projects to monitor and address IT operations. Stay abreast of technological advancements. Recommend and implement innovative solutions to enhance system reliability and performance.

  • Required skills and qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT Operations, IT Service Management and other related fields.
  • Certifications in ITIL or any related certifications in IT Service Management would be an advantage.
  • Proven experience in managing AWS environments, including certifications in AWS.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards relevant to the banking industry would be an advantage.
