We’re looking for a Senior Accounts Payable and GL Accountant to join the team at Edpuzzle, a leading edtech company trusted by over 80% of schools in the USA and millions of teachers and students across the globe. As a member of the Finance team, the Senior Accounts Payable and GL Accountant will be a goal-oriented, highly accurate team player and will help Edpuzzle continue to shape our high-performing Finance department.

About you:
To succeed, you will need to be a master of organization with strong attention to detail to achieve a month-end close deadline. Your drive to exceed performance expectations will contribute to efficiency and reduction of the month-end close cycle.
About the role:Enter vendor invoices into the accounting systemObtain applicable approvalsAttach and/or save invoices and supporting documents electronicallyOrganize and file supporting documents electronicallyManage vendors’ payment inquiriesSubmit Purchase RequisitionsReview Purchase Requisitions that are submitted by other Accounts Payable Accountants, and mentor and guide junior accountants.Collaborate with Accounts Payable and GL accounting team membersContribute to timely month-end closeAssist with timely and accurate financial statement preparations in accordance with US GAAPPrepare journal entries in the following (but not limited to) areas: Revenue, Accrued expenses, Payroll, Fixed asset and depreciation, and internally developed softwarePerform or review and approve revenue recognition analysisPrepare or review and approve balance sheet reconciliationAssist with external audit processParticipate and assist with new system implementation(s)Assist with tax preparation and filingAdditional responsibilities may be assignedRequirements:Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in full AP accounting (US company experience is preferred)At least 3 years of progressive experience in GL accounting is an additional advantageBachelor’s degree in accounting and CPA licenseWorking knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and accounting policiesComputer literacy in MS Word, Outlook, and ExcelHighly organized and strong attention to detailGood analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to listen effectively Ability to communicate clearly and proactivelyAbility to follow accounting standards, company policies, and proceduresAbility to manage multiple assignments, balance workload independently, and meet deadlinesMust be a dependable team player with a positive attitudeBonus skills:Prior experience with QuickBooks accounting system and SalesforceExperience in SaaS or an edtech companyExperience working with remote teamsExtremely deadline-driven and exceptional ability to deliver results on timeExperience leading a teamFluency in SpanishWhat will you find if you join us?Competitive salary and a substantial yearly salary reviewA fun, friendly team of highly motivated people with different skill sets and backgroundsLaptop is providedHealth insurance24 vacation days, plus the 24th and 31st of DecemberEdpuzzle is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
