The Azure FinOps Engineer enables cloud to provide optimal performance, continuity and efficiency in virtualized, on-demand environments. The Azure FinOps Engineer works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.

In this role, you will be a key contributor to our Technology Fin Ops team, bridging the gap between finance and technology. The responsibilities include enhancing our processes, optimizing cost management, and working closely with technology leaders to identify opportunities.

The Azure FinOps Engineer utilizes software that manages and monitors networks, systems and applications not only to guarantee performance to cloud software environments but also to better orchestrate and automate provisioning of resources. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as an Azure FinOps Engineer or similar role, with expertise in Azure cloud cost management and optimization.​

  • Strong understanding of Azure cloud services, resource management, and pricing models.

  • Solid knowledge of financial concepts and principles, with experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.

  • Proficiency in using Azure Cost Management and Azure Advisor tools for cost optimization.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, patterns, and areas for cost reduction.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AZ-900

  • Cloud FinOps Certified Practitioner

Work-At-Home Requirements

  • WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.

  • A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.  

  • Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.

  • A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay decisions will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$126,800 - $174,500 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
