Humana’s The Hive is looking for a Senior Designer to join the team! The Hive is Humana's in-house agency, a creative collective built exclusively to support the business and the brand. We are responsible for creative content development across all media and enterprise brand identity management for a diverse portfolio of Humana brands. Our core purpose is to create compelling brand expression and cohesive consumer experiences that enhance brand perception, build trust, and influence choice.

As the Senior Designer (internally known as a Senior Creative Development Professional), you will be a working team leader and a critical conceptual thinker who develops creative strategy and exceptional creative content across all media. The work requires business curiosity and analysis of complex situations or data to determine the creative solution, and the ability to successfully incorporate feedback while maintaining the integrity of an idea. You will develop visual and verbal brand identity standards, and brand expression for integrated marketing campaigns from concept to completion.

Key Role Functions

  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team to develop omni-channel campaigns that include email, web, print and SMS, and create edit, test, and improve content that makes Humana plans easier to understand and use

  • Ensures brand consistency, campaign continuity, and creative quality for Humana and CenterWell masterbrands

  • Ability to deliver a range of creative solutions that translates business and brand objectives into compelling creative concepts for integrated marketing campaigns

  • Operates with little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments; establishes own work priorities and timelines and applies in-depth brand knowledge to moderately complex situations

  • Develops creative content for all media including print, digital, social, video, and environmental. Experienced in photo direction, retouching photography, and developing best practices for designers and vendors

  • Fosters a collaborative creative culture and provides constructive critique that elevates outcomes. Experienced in creating efficient processes, training teammates, vendors, and necessary support materials

  • Regularly uses new technologies, theories, relevant industry trends, and establishes creative development best practices

To be successful in this role, you must make decisions on creative approach using discretion and independent judgment while fostering a collaborative culture with a diverse team of subject matter experts, product managers, and journey leadership to build and refine our development practices and continually iterate to ensure success. You must demonstrate a mastery of brand and design principles, relevant content development experience for performance marketing, and proficiency with Agile methodologies. Ultimately you will have the opportunity to institute processes that accelerate development and improve coordination across teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in design or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of professional experience in a creative agency environment

  • Industry competitive portfolio that demonstrates advanced skills developing campaign concepts, brand identity, and integrated consumer marketing campaigns

  • Design mastery and ability to independently advance the creative development process, from low-fidelity prototyping concepts through production, across a broad range of media

  • Advanced communication skills, ability to deliver a persuasive creative presentation, embrace and interpret constructive feedback and align diverse stakeholders to move the work forward

  • Proficiency with industry standard design tools, including Adobe Creative Suite, Figma and Microsoft software

  • Proficiency with Agile methodologies and focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in web, mobile and email content development

  • Proficiency with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (email content builder)

  • Familiar with After Effects and video production

Additional Information

To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria:

  • Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership

  • Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.

  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay decisions will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$76,800 - $105,800 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
