Job description

The primary purpose of this position is to assist in the development of processes, analytics tools, and capabilities for sourcing Rite Aid owned brands product; and own the end-to-end project management of strategic reviews from RFI to awarding business. The position supports category managers and owned brands by developing category and vendor P&Ls and pro formas to benchmark over time and across suppliers.

  • Collaborate with Category Management and Owned Brands teams on highest-priority sourcing projects. Weekly and monthly tracking of category P&Ls to monitor profitability goals and diving deep where needed to drive continuous improvement.
  • Work in cross-functional teams to extract, clean, and prepare spend data & product specifications for analysis. Leverage a suite of analytics tools such including Microsoft Excel, Tableau, and others to conduct analysis on spend data to identify spend optimization and cost reduction opportunities (e.g. regression analysis, multi-scenario modeling, sensitivity analysis, cost-benefit analysis).
  • Identify key insights from analyses, cutting through large amounts of data to quickly identify trends and implications on sourcing strategy & approach.
  • Translate insights into action, reporting on findings to senior management and using analyses to prepare for critical vendor negotiations.
  • Assist in analyzing bid results from vendors and developing negotiation strategy based on internal and external sources of information. Partner with category managers to collect and analysis data including supplier strength and weakness, international sourcing trends, commodities and material costs trend, exchange rates.
