Job Description:The Mid-level and Senior Azure Cloud Security Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the security of our Azure cloud environments. This position involves designing, implementing, and managing security controls, policies, and procedures to protect data, applications, and infrastructure in Azure. The candidate will have a strong background in cloud security operations with a preference for 4-5+ years of experience.

Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement security architectures for Azure cloud-based systems. - Manage and configure Azure security services and tools, including Azure Security Center, Azure Monitor, and Azure Sentinel. - Conduct vulnerability assessments and security audits, and ensure compliance with security standards and frameworks. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security practices into the DevOps lifecycle. - Develop and maintain documentation related to Azure security architectures, policies, and procedures. - Provide expertise in cloud security, risk management, and mitigation strategies. - Stay current with emerging security threats and technologies to ensure the security of the organization's cloud assets. - Lead incident response activities, including investigation and remediation of security breaches.

Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. - 5+ years of experience in cloud security, specifically with Azure environments. - Strong understanding of cloud architecture and cloud security best practices. - Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems and common applications. - Knowledge of network architecture and tools, including experience with automation via infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, etc. - Programming/scripting experience in languages such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, Golang, C, JS, SQL, etc. - CI/CD pipeline experience, including proficiency with tools like GitLab, GitHub Actions, etc. - SIEM tools experience, such as Splunk, DataDog, Grafana, NewRelic, AppDynamics, etc. - Understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and cloud platforms. - Familiarity with security compliance frameworks and regulations.

Additional Skills (Preferred): - Cloud security Ops experience of 4-5+ years preferred. - Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+. - Experience in federal government Cloud or IT systems, familiar with CIS, NIST standards, and adept at managing government-specific IT environments. - Well-versed in healthcare IT systems, with a focus on compliance with HIPAA regulations and a background in healthcare systems technology.
