Director, Sales Performance
Job Summary:Bloom, the insurance industry's trusted growth partner, is actively seeking an experienced and results-driven Director, Sales Performance. This leader will develop and direct the sales data analysis function to deliver quantitative and qualitative tools to the Sales teams and Executive Management to ensure effective sales execution and the achievement of growth objectives. This leader will be responsible for developing monitoring methodologies to analyze sales metrics and provide insights, support decisions, and highlight areas for process/content improvement. They must be able to understand market conditions and competitors, enable training activities that will ensure sales leaders understand and effectively utilize systems and reporting resources, create functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/incentive plans to support the functional infrastructure. In this pivotal role, you will function as a bridge between Quality, Compliance, Operations, and Sales to continuously improve outstanding sales performance while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards. This role will be critical in developing and implementing effective new compliant sales-driving strategies and techniques, analyzing historical sales patterns, and optimizing customer success operations processes while demonstrating product/systems knowledge, listening skills and motivation to the Bloom Sales team.We are looking for an exceptional individual who can: - Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and grow carrier membership. - Create and communicate sales goals and ensure C-level executives are informed on the progress of those goals. - Build and maintain long-lasting, strong relationships with customers while partnering with them to better understand their business objectives and needs. - Understand industry-specific trends and landscapes. - Effectively communicate value propositions through presentations and proposals. - Report on forces that shift strategic directions of accounts and tactical budgets. - Reinforce sales training by utilizing a variety of methods and variables depending on need. - Enforce compliant sales behavior while understanding the regulations. - Manage the analytics surrounding sales performances across all sales programs. - Review marketing performance by channel, state, agent, interval to identify trends and deliver performance plan improvements. - Create and manage action plans across various departments. - Drive skills assessment by measuring and reviewing periodic performance, delivering feedback, assessing reactions, and responding appropriately. - Lead and develop front line sales leaders by demonstrating a commitment to effective coaching and fostering a positive sales culture. - Work to develop innovative strategies aligned with the focus of building a strong sale and learning culture. - Ensure the capture and appropriate storage of complete analytics and accurate prospective member records. - Ensure agents and team are meeting or exceeding Sales and Quality performance goals through established metrics. - Work with Training and Operations to drive ongoing sales coaching and training to ensure performance and continuous improvement. - Analyze statistical reports and other documentation to identify trends and implement overall performance enhancements. - Work with internal business partners to proactively develop continuous quality improvement initiatives surrounding customer service and client satisfaction. - Assist leadership team with tactical planning for the site to ensure quality interactions with clients and enhance overall operational effectiveness. - Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience: - Bachelor’s degree in business, Education or Marketing or equivalent work experience - 5+ years’ health insurance sales experience is required. - 3+ years’ sales management and training experience in health insurance is required. - Experience within a health insurance contact center is preferred. - Active Health and Life Insurance license required. - AHIP Medicare Certification is required. - Current Medicare and Medicare Supplement product knowledge is required.
Skills and Abilities: - Competent in Microsoft Office products, particularly Word and Excel - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Proven ability to drive the sales process from start to finish. - Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills - Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of services and products. - Knowledge of how to develop client-focused, differentiated, and achievable solutions. - Understanding of how to position products against competitors. - Ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines. - Ability to work objectively and maintain confidentiality. - Ability to analyze processes and information, identify problems and trends, and develop effective solutions and strategies. - Excellent people skills - Understanding of incremental improvement processes
