• Junior level candidates with technical experience and security+ certification who are open to live nationwide or DMV (Washington, DC region.)
  
• Mid to senior level candidates with technical experience and open to live nationwide or DMV (Washington, DC region.)
  
• Priority to candidates with TS/SCI (Active) clearance.
  
• Realistic salary expectations.
  

**Application Requirements**:

• Must be active-duty U.S. military with eligibility for DoD SkillBridge Internship.
  
• Must have Security+ certification or technical background to obtain one and be interested in acquiring targeted certification / training through an extensive training portal (Skillsoft Percipio).
  
• Must be willing to live/work in Washington, DC, (and/or any Apex location in the U.S. if hired after the internship -this will be discussed during an intake call if selected).
  
• Must be self-driven and capable of managing your schedule within a remote, self-paced, program with specific target objectives.
  

Remote for Internship ONLY (Internship is remote, but you must be willing to live/work in Washington, DC after the internship, or Apex location in the U.S.)  If the internship leads to a job offer the position will not be remote, and there MUST be a true interest and viable opportunity for a match at the end of the internship to be selected.)

Start Date: We can accommodate most people's available start dates
Clearance Required: Current/Active Secret clearance (fully adjudicated) at a minimum; priority given to TS/SCI (Active) clearance.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

This is a very competitive program, and not all applicants will be selected. This is a self-paced training internship - be sure that you are someone who can work remotely and are organized enough to manage a fully self-paced schedule. To be selected for this internship you must be willing to live in Washington, DC, if hired after the internship (and/or any Apex location within the U.S.). While this internship focuses on skills and certification training, it is designed to create job opportunities for you at the conclusion of the internship.

This opportunity provides remote self-guided virtual training in the following certification pathways. Typical residents will graduate from our SkillBridge program with 1-3 certifications and you will select three target certifications to obtain during an intake call with our host partner, if selected. There may be some boot camp style training, but the vast majority is self-guided.

During SkillBridge, Apex Systems senior recruiting team will assist with employment opportunities and how you may be eligible to receive housing allowance, by utilizing your VA/GI Bill benefits under the Apprenticeship program. Candidates MUST be able to serve within the SkillBridge program for at least 60 days, but no more than 120 days.

In this internship you will:

• Gain Critical IT foundational knowledge, skills, and credentials through a portal of Self-Paced interactive learning platforms, micro-learning videos, and personalized interfaces utilizing Skillsoft Percipio.
  
• Use technology to learn technology!
  
• You will receive free certification training, and will utilize GI Bill, credentialing programs, other entitlements that you may qualify for, or self-pay for exam fees.
  

Minimum Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical expertise / serious interest in IT/Cyber, information, and network security and a willingness to start a job at the entry level if you have no baseline technical experience.
  
• Well-rounded understanding and command of the fundamentals of network routing, TCP/IP, and network security.
  
• A serious interest in earning a job offer from the host company, which will not be remote.

DEVOPS Pathway: Sec+; Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH); Splunk Core Certified User 
System Administration Pathway: Sec+; Cisco Cert Network Associate (CCNA)  
Help Desk Pathway: Sec+; Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH); Cybersecurity Analyst  
Cyber Warrior Pathway: Sec+; Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH); Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Network Administration Pathway: Sec+; Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA); Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)

• Mentorship and guidance via regular SkillBridge Intern Zoom Meetings.
  
• PM Fundamentals course, Resume writing, LinkedIn optimization, and interview skills course. 
  
• Other free resources, including an electronic copy of 'How to Speak Civilian Fluently'.
