Salary: £30,631 per annum plus benefits including a final salary pension scheme, generous annual leave, and flexible and hybrid working.**

Location: Any Arts Council Office outside London (Manchester, Newcastle, Leeds, Birmingham, Nottingham, Cambridge, Brighton, or Bristol)

Introduction & Role Details**

Arts Council England is looking for two full-time Officers and the role comes with an attractive salary and benefits package, including the chance to join a collaborative and inclusive team.

You’ll be joining a new flexible and agile transformation team at the Arts Council which is delivering against the ‘How the Arts Council will Change’ commitment in our strategy, Let’s Create, and in our Delivery Plan (theme 5 of the 2021-24 delivery plan). We are focused on enabling the organisation to become more user focused, improving the digital experience, and ensuring our people have the skills they need to deliver the ambition of Let’s Create.

This is an exciting role, joining a new team. You’ll find yourself operating flexibly across the Arts Council, working with different teams and programmes. You’ll be given tasks to lead on, which may include research into new proposals, concepts, and ideas, contributing to the development of existing or new digital systems, or taking part in consultation and engagement exercises, internally or externally.

To give you an idea of how this Officer, Business Transformation role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do:

  • Be a flexible resource assigned to work on time-limited projects, undertaking and contributing to research relating to the projects aims and objectives and writing reports based on that research to support the delivery of the project.
  • Seek new opportunities for change and collaboration through all your activities.
  • Work with our data team to collect and analyse data.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support your role.

To succeed in this role, you will need experience in providing project and programme coordination, including the use of digital tools to organise workload and a proactive approach to managing competing priorities. You will also require the following:

  • Experience in collaborative problem-solving in a team, with the ability to work on your initiative, but with good judgment about when to bring in others.
  • The ability to meet deadlines, maintain confidentially and pay attention to detail
  • A variety of communication, numeracy, and analytical skills

If you enjoy collaborating, researching, and identifying solutions, testing new ideas, and engaging with people, this may be the role for you! **
