Data analyst

Description:

• Operations Data Strategy is navigating support of data integration for critical data across a multitude of source types (SQL, Hive, Oracle, and DB2) with the intent to design and structure key queries, manually supported data pipelines which serve the Quality Analyst team, and subsequently support the long-term integration into automated solutions, including key documentation and speed to market assistance for Platform Product Teams to integrate Source to Target.
• As part of Source to Target integration for Quality Audits, key Visio Maps of the data integration paths will be developed as well as Database Schematic documentation, field mapping, and query development with strong quality validation testing & evidence collection.
• Where necessary Power BI Dashboards will be developed which support the integration demands of the quality assurance and data exploration needs and, where necessary, gap analysis and Requirements development will be required to support Engineering requirements to close data gaps.
• Ability to data mine, analyze data, and pipeline via Python (Read, Consolidate, Deliver) present insights in a meaningful way.
• Ability to develop and maintain strategic partnership with Senior Business unit management, business partners and project sponsors, as well as communicate effectively with business, and development teams, end users, and product owners.

Preferred and required Skills/Experience (anything listing here as required, ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience):

• Strong data exploration and problem-solving skills (required)
• Experience querying large data using SQL, Python, and Power B.I. (including DAX)
• Thorough understanding of Data Governance principles like source to target mapping, managing data dictionary, developing data flow maps and navigating data systems (required)
• Ability to design and automate (using Python) key data pipelines for the use of Auditing, with strong quality control and evidence gathering approaches.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills including requirements writing (required)
• Strong attention to detail for Quality Control checks of data (required)
