Job Overview**

Position Schedule: Full-Time

The Integrated Marketing Manager is responsible for developing, leading, and executing medium to high impact strategic integrated marketing initiatives and programs targeting external audiences to drive brand awareness, lead generation and nurturing.

The role is required to consult and collaborate with business areas in Canada as well as U.S. stakeholders to identify connection points and areas of opportunity in order to effectively create and execute plans to deliver on marketing KPIs. **

Integrated Marketing Strategy And Planning**

  • Working with the Team Leader, Marketingto develop strategy, plan, execute and measure marketing programs, branch enablement tools and resources to build the Edward Jones brand and help financial advisors attract and retain ideal clients in Canada. Examples include: Regional Client events strategy and planning, local brand campaigns, and more.
  • Build segment marketing strategies and programs using insights and data to create engaging experiences to attract new target audiences
  • Understanding of the firm's brand positioning and reinforce consistent application across multiple marketing channels and mediums.
  • Prepare creative briefs for marketing teams and/or agencies and freelancers in partnership with business stakeholders and subject matter experts.
  • Familiarity with client personalization and targeting across multiple audiences and activation strategies
  • Reports on the progress of marketing programs and branch enablement tools using a variety of digital analytics tools to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and programs.
  • Cross functional collaboration to plan and execute activities with internal marketing partners needed to prioritize and organize initiatives across multi-functional areas.
  • Works with key leaders and stakeholders across the firm and in the field to educate financial advisors about marketing programs and branch enablement resources to help their branch business plan/regional business plan objectives.
  • Influence - Effectively build relationships to help achieve business outcomes. Influence business area leaders and associates to achieve consensus and results without positional authority.
  • Insights - Apply insights (client, prospective clients and branch teams) to market and target audience needs to develop content and support channel activation strategy.
  • Measurement/Optimization - Understand KPIs, communication and business metrics to measure effectiveness and make recommendations to improve/optimize.
  • Process - Collaborate with others to resolve issues as content goes through rigorous editorial, business area and compliance review.

Skills/Requirements

Education/Certification:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related study such as Journalism and Communications **

Years Of Relevant Experience**

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, including digital strategy, marketing planning, communications and marketing analytics, preferably financial services, showing increasing level of responsibility
  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to explore different paths to achieve an outcome and adapts to change quickly.
  • 5+ years of experience leading in strategy, processes, stakeholdering and measurement of marketing programs to deliver on busines outcomes: Regional client acquisition events, segment marketing and planning/execution with the field
  • 5+ years experience using insights and processing data to build rationale and strategy for appealing to target segments, how to attract and generate leads to clients.
  • 5+ years ownership of brand building and lead generation marketing programs strategy and measurement
  • 5+ years experience in building content strategy supporting brand, community, and lead generation and nurturing
  • Experience in test and learn frameworks, prioritization and exceptional project management skills (medium to high impact)
  • Critical thinking, strategic thinking, collaborative/relationship building is a must have
  • Experience in creating strategic briefs for stakeholders and/or agency partners to establish a marketing plan delivering on the right outcomes

  • Knowledge of social media platforms and digital technologies required.
  • Strong project management and critical thinking skills.
  • Solid understanding of consumer target markets and segments.
  • Broad knowledge of marketing disciplines and ability to maximize knowledge and experience to accomplish the required outcome.
  • Thorough knowledge of branding objectives and positioning strategy compared to our competitors.
  • Thorough understanding of the branch processes and activities.
  • Understanding of the legal and regulatory requirements regulating marketing and selling financial solutions.
  • Ability to effectively manage and evaluate the products and services of external agencies and vendors.
  • Able to effectively present to all levels within the firm, including senior management.
  • Demonstrates analytical skills in identifying metrics to determine success or impact of program.
  • Demonstrates general financial analysis in calculating ROI in addition to experience managing budgets.

  • Ability to deliver cost-efficient ways to implement digital and non-digital marketing solutions to a business objective
  • Ability to use business area objectives to collaborate on most effective go-to-market strategies to accomplish business objectives leveraging multiple media
  • Requires managing competing priorities and initiatives among functional marketing areas, other divisions and agency partners.
  • Helps identify when and how a problem should be escalated and recommend a solution.

Decision Making

  • Position requires constant decision making in variety of issues and each project is unique.
  • Requires a high degree of creativity, collaboration and negotiation skills in a matrix environment.
  • Requires decision making on a daily basis on how to determine content and respond to comments on social media properties. These decisions carry risk given the medium.
  • Has high-degree of autonomy managing the financial advisor social media program and there are daily decisions made.

Span Of Influence

  • Influences marketing programs and messages that reach millions of clients and potential clients.
  • Serves as a resource to business areas in executing local branch enablement tools and programs. Impacts client acquisition, retention and brand building initiatives.
  • Establishes branch processes that impact their ability to get new business and marketing tools and programs effectively.
