This is an opportunity to have a major impact in the area of mainframe database usage, access, and management. You will help to create new processes and procedures for controlling demand management and to manage application efficiency modifications.
As part of the Infrastructure Governance team, you will work closely with our Managed Services provider and application development teams to utilize best practices for database and data efficiencies and ease of access and use.
The IT Lead Infrastructure Governance-Database role works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
The IT Lead Infrastructure Governance-Database ensures that data environments on the mainframe are optimized and maintained by our managed services provider to meet the demands of our application stakeholders.
Serves as a subject matter expert to application development, systems administration and
engineering and other technical and business staff in planning the resource requirements for database systems under development.
Develops, maintains, recommends, documents and supports tools and backend utilities to provide database and data management.
Facilitates the development of policies to ensure that existing databases and data environments are being used as efficiently as possible.
Advises executives to develop functional database strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance.
Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and working under minimal supervision, uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.

Required Qualifications
- 8 or more years of technical experience with mainframe databases and data spaces, including DB2, IAM, VSAM and other file types.
- Experience with JCL, ISPF, and mainframe utilities.
- Working knowledge of COBOL
- 2 or more years of project leadership experience
- Experience integrating new technologies with existing technologies
- Experience implementing technologies with enterprise-wide impact
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
- Must be a US citizen and eligible to receive government clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
- Healthcare industry experience
- Experience managing major projects from end to end

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay decisions will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$112,400 - $154,900 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
