The Sr Specialist, Internal Communications supports teams across Aventiv in building, deploying, & measuring the effectiveness of narrative building content with internal associates. This position requires a solid understanding of a consistent internal communication cadence that balances stakeholder needs, from executive leadership to Sales to Human Resources. The work is the connective tissue to share business intelligence that allows associates to understand how their work translates into growth, connecting them with Aventiv’s culture, helping retain and grow talent.THIS IS A 100% REMOTE POSITION. with up to 10% travel**
ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties: - Supports development of internal enterprise communications, from written content for email and social messages, video, and intranet storytelling, to support and educate Aventiv’s internal associate base on events, business growth and priorities, leadership activity, associate engagement events, and issues when necessary. - Supports the content and development of internal newsletters, flyers, and social elements for internal channels, including employer brand building. - Accountable for developing quarterly town hall content, from executive presentations and toolkits that empower people leaders as communicators, while ensuring associates experience storytelling that brings our mission driven focus to life and priorities to drive operational excellence. - Maintains the internal communication editorial calendar and ensures it aligns with other functional editorial calendars – from Sales to Marketing to Product, Human Resources, and External Communications. In aligning calendars, the incumbent can repurpose content provided by other functional leaders to develop internal audience facing content. Responsible for bringing cross functional stakeholders together to ensure that communications, whether internal or external, align and marry different points of view as needed. - Engages with CSR and DEI teams to support annual communications. - Contributes to maintenance of content on Aventiv’s intranet portal, from updates to ideas to measurement effectiveness. - Sets critical KPIs to monitor, report, and track the effectiveness of internal communications. - Maintains a set of tools, including training business partners when needed, to successfully deploy communications. - Shares learning & best practices, building effective, consistent, process & delivery. - Partner with external agencies to anticipate needs and deliver quality on time deliverables that support plans. - Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: - Skilled self-starter with sharp comprehension of business needs while taking lead with little oversight or direction. - Ability to work in a matrixed environment and integrate across the Public Affairs, Sales, Marketing, HR, CSR, DEI, and Customer Service teams, so all brand collateral and communication resources reflect key business priorities. - Skilled in demonstrating success prioritizing and working in deadline driven environments. - Expert collaborator with written and verbal communication skills, including condensing complex messages into simple communications and distilling executive level summaries. Able to adapt tone and voice to leader and channel. - Expert-level Microsoft Office and Project Management (Asana, Monday, etc.) with creation skills. - Skilled creative thinker; experience developing video and social content. - Skilled organizer who balances multiple priorities with ease. - Skilled relationship builder who influences trust. - Skilled in thriving under pressure and tackles whatever task needs to get done. - Ability to receive both positive and negative feedback with a desire to develop. - Spanish language competency is valued. - Ability to proofread while demonstrating a command of grammar and mechanics. - Proficiency in video editing and graphic design software, including Adobe Creative Suite or Canva. - You set a high bar in everything you do – quality, creativity, execution, productivity (efficiency) and of course balance.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications: - High School Diploma or GED - 5+ years of experience hosting and executing events, including simple coordination management of in person and remote forums, including conferences, townhalls, fireside chats, etc. - 5+ years of experience with ecosystem services including SEO, SEM, CRM marketing, SMS, social media, etc.
Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Public Relations or equivalent experience. - Experience in producing exceptional communications with an understanding of corporate organizational structure in collaborating with executive leadership and stakeholders. - Exceptional experience with social media content creation.
