Our mission is simple: End Cyber Risk. We’re looking for a Senior Developer to be part of making this happen.

About the Role

You’ll be working as a senior software developer on our Security Services & Customer Experience (S2CX) Team, responsible for delivering the cloud-based software that helps solve the real-world security problems that IT professionals face. Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will be:

  • Mentor new and junior team members.

  • Integrate software components into a fully functional software system; document and maintain software functionality.

  • Execute assigned and self generated work. Seek and receive mentoring.

  • Understand the product and how Security Services delivers the service.

  • Complete knowledge and full understanding of area of specialization, principles and practices within your professional discipline. Assess unusual circumstance and use sophisticated analytical and problem solving techniques to identify cause.

  • Resolve and assess a wide range of issues in creative ways and suggests variations in approach.

  • Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of information requires evaluation of identifiable factors, and devise solutions based on limited information and precedent by adapting existing approaches to resolve issues.

  • Use evaluation, judgment, and interpretation to select right course of action, which work is done independently and is reviewed at critical points.

We value a culture of sharing, so every team has the opportunity to share their work with the entire department during our monthly R&D Demos. Once a year we hold a department-wide Hackathon, teaming up across all R&D teams over four days to collaborate and build cool ideas outside the normal project scope. While innovation is the focus, some of these ideas do make it into our products.

About You

You’re an experienced software developer who can complete solutions with little or no guidance. Comfortable with working independently on larger, more impactful feature, you have comprehensive knowledge of software development practices, and mastery over writing and debugging code. You perform complex programming tasks and implement software systems with ease. Highly collaborative, you mentor more junior developers.

Here are some of the core technologies we use and teach across our Applications teams. You should have some experience in one or more of these, or similar technologies:

  • Python/Django

  • Go

  • React/Typescript

  • AWS

  • Git

  • Docker

  • Kubernetes

In addition, you may have demonstrated leadership experience from previous projects, regardless of title held. Even if you haven’t worked with all of our specific technologies, you bring a diverse knowledge base that you use to help the team solve complex technical problems. You have comprehensive knowledge of software development practices, and mastery over writing and debugging code.

You’ll receive all the security training you need during our onboarding process and through additional training on the job.

Interview Process

The interview process is approximately as follows:

  • Phone pre-screening: A recruiter contacts you to briefly discuss your work history and provide an overview of Arctic Wolf. Approximately 30 minutes.
