Job description

Overview

Academic Sales Consultant – South East

Working as part of our very successful Northern European Sales team, and reporting into our Digital Sales Manager Garry, we have an opportunity for a motivated, driven, and learning-focused Academic Sales Consultant . We are seeking an individual who will liaise with academics at Higher Education institutes daily, via face-to-face meetings, Teams/Zoom, email, and through marketing campaigns. The goal is to introduce academics to the most innovative teaching platforms that will help them deliver the most engaging units of study. **

What is this about?**

Looking after our targeted customers, across the South East of England, (mainly London and the Home Counties), whilst adopting a consultative selling approach, you will understand the key challenges faced by academics. Then, as our new Academic Sales Consultant, you will suggest the most appropriate McGraw Hill solution for their course/module/unit of study. This is a 360 sales position, so you be responsible for closing your own business and maintaining a strong and prosperous pipeline. **

What you will be doing:**

  • Achieving new business and existing sales targets.
  • Building and managing sales pipelines.
  • Introducing, implementing, and supporting digital solutions and innovative teaching approaches.
  • Building and managing customer relationships – externally (academics), and internally, (marketing, product, etc.).
  • Effective and timely use of Salesforce.com, (SFDC).
  • Maintaining a high level of product knowledge.

What can you bring to the role?

  • A passion and hunger for success.
  • A desire to help University learners and an interest in education technology.
  • An understanding of the Higher Education sector would be ideal but not essential.
  • Any previous experience of working with educational technology, online platforms, or SaaS solutions would be of real interest to us.
  • An enthusiasm and confidence to knock on doors, make calls, and over-achieve your target!

Spirit to Win

If you can bring your dedicated passion, we can help students attain their goals and achieve their dreams. We foster a culture of helping those that want to learn, and we offer open and collaborative working environments that will enable you to succeed. Every day your individual efforts contribute to the lives of millions.
