Job Description

UL is currently seeking a Renewables Software Sales Executive to be responsible for developing our renewables digital customer base in the North America.

The role can be remote in the US. **

Responsibilities**

As a member of the sales team, you will be responsible for selling our renewables digital portfolio (Openwind, Windographer, Homer Front, Renewable Resource Assessment Platform (RRAP), Wind Developer Suite, wind resource data and maps, API’s) to North America developers, utilities, IPP’s and engineering firms.

  • Identify prospective new customers and work with software product leads to establish positive business relationships with them and present the complete software suit. Inbound and outbound activities
  • Introduce and present the different portfolio product offering to potential customers as well as follow up with trials and other inbound leads and requests, with the goal to close sales.
  • Contribute to the development of strategy for the assigned specialized software products/services by providing input on customer needs, pain points, trends, etc. to product / service manager
  • Maintain ongoing plan to prioritize portfolio of accounts and maintain relationships throughout the year, identifying opportunities for software renewal. Perform product demos and advise customers on how to integrate software into an existing IT environment
  • Maintain ongoing relationships after initial sale has closed in order to effectively convert this into software renewals
  • Collaborates with Solution Architects in gathering customer requirements
  • Brings in additional technical resources (e.g., engineers) when needed to support sales opportunities of assigned specialty products/services
  • Provide client feedback and requests to the Openwind, Windographer and Data product teams
  • Collaborate with counterparts in other segments to identify and exploit synergies from existing clients. Establish regular channels of communication.
  • Attend regular departmental and team meetings; participate as appropriate in regular industry groups such as required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years of B2B related software sales experience
  • Experience in digital offerings within the renewable industry
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Business acumen and deep understanding of business sales processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate
  • Work effectively with colleagues to ensure timely delivery of high quality proposals
  • Ability to maintain good relationships with clients

  • Total Rewards: The target annual pay range for this position is $105,000 - $131,250 which includes a base salary of $60,000-$75,000 and 100% on target performance. Members of the sales function are eligible to participate in the UL Solutions Sales Incentive Plan. The annual target incentive for this position is 75% of the base salary, paid quarterly, and is contingent upon performance. Employees are eligible for health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental & financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country, for the relevant position level. We also provide employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
